What are food deserts?

According to the oxford dictionary 

 food des·ert noun

an urban area in which it is difficult to buy affordable or good-quality fresh food. "many poor people live in food deserts—where they have plenty of food but none of it healthy"

Food that isn't health lacks sufficient amount of nutrients essential for our growth, development and overall health developing a food insecure community
